Overview
Purdue’s Center for Global Food Security serves as a multi-disciplinary research hub for faculty and scientists conducting studies on topics that address food insecurity throughout the world. The Center collaborates with other research initiatives undertaken in the academic units and research centers across campus. These research topics address the most pressing challenges facing food security including climate change, agricultural productivity, nutrition, post-harvest losses, trade and more. The Center functions as a research catalyst by providing seed grants, bringing faculty and scientists together from Purdue and international/national research centers, and pursuing funding opportunities.
