About Us

The Emergency Preparedness and Planning department is part of the Environmental Health and Public Safety organization – comprised of additional departments including the Purdue University Police Department, Purdue University Fire Department, and Radiological and Environmental Management.

Emergency Preparedness and Planning was created in December 2006 to lead Purdue's emergency preparedness efforts with the campus community and local, state and federal emergency agencies. The vision of the department is to provide world-class preparedness for the entire Purdue community through strong leadership, collaborations, effective communication and continuous improvement.
