Industry Sectors

We focus on four areas — advanced manufacturing; life sciences; technology; and transportation and logistics — that align many of Indiana's key industry sectors and growth targets with several of Purdue's core competencies.

Within these focus areas, strategic partnerships are maintained with:

  • the economic development and not-for-profit entities that are tasked with maintaining and growing employment and profitability in these industry sectors,
  • mature companies within these sectors,
  • emerging entrepreneurs and research partners within these sectors, and
  • other opportunities for educational and business partnerships in which Purdue can tactically and strategically move Indiana forward.
