Lisa Duncan

Nonprofit Engagement Director

Lisa Duncan is the Nonprofit Engagement Director for the Office of Engagement. She works to connect nonprofit agencies and community partners, in the home campus region, with the university’s faculty, staff, and students to form reciprocal relationships around resources and research. Her passion for the nonprofit community is also reflected in her work as the Purdue United Way liaison, in which she manages the annual Purdue United Way giving campaign,  striving to raise more than $700,000 each campaign. These funds directly benefit the United Way of Greater Lafayette and their 27 local partnered agencies.

Lisa has worked in the Office of Engagement since 2014. Prior to her role as Nonprofit Engagement Director, she was responsible for the daily management of the Community Service & Service-Learning Grant program, served as the office’s event planner, and the program coordinator for the Scholarship of Engagement and Societal Impact fellowship programs.

Lisa received her B.S. in Multidisciplinary and Professional Studies from Purdue University Global and is currently working to complete her M.S. in Human Services from Purdue University Global.

Lisa’s favorite quote is “to live without hope, is to cease to live” by Dostoevsky, which inspires her to never give up even when things seem hopeless.
