About The Hotline

Purdue University is committed to providing an environment where individuals may report, in a simple anonymous way, suspected fraud; waste; issues of academic integrity or scholastic misconduct; misuse of University assets; or regulatory noncompliance.

Purdue utilizes EthicsPoint, a third-party hotline provider, to assist us by documenting your concerns or reports of possible misconduct. With EthicsPoint, you can file a confidential, anonymous report via the telephone or the Internet. Reports go directly to the EthicsPoint secure server to prevent any possible breach in security. EthicsPoint does not generate or maintain any internal connection logs with IP addresses, so no information linking your computer to EthicsPoint is available.

After your report is received, it will be provided to designated University personnel for appropriate action, during regular business hours. Reports will be handled promptly and discreetly; however, sufficient and detailed information is necessary to conduct a thorough investigation. Individuals may choose to identify themselves and will not suffer any retaliatory action for reporting or inquiring in good faith. Retaliation against any individual for making a good faith disclosure will not be tolerated. For more information, please review Protection Against Reprisal for Good Faith Disclosures (Whistleblower Protection) (III.A.4)

The Internal Audit Office is responsible for the oversight of Purdue’s Hotline. Please contact the iadirector@purdue.edu if you have any questions.

The Internal Audit Office follows Purdue’s processes around any matters that affect grants or federal awards by following mandatory reporting obligations to all Federal Agencies, as applicable.
