Human Resources Mission, Vision, and Strategic Goals For You

Specialized Care Options

Purdue has partnerships with certain providers to give Purdue employees and dependents specialized care at affordable rates.

In the ongoing efforts to promote overall health and wellness and in support of the Healthy Boiler Program, Human Resources – Benefits has announced that ATI Physical Therapy is now the provider of choice for physical therapy. Click here for more information.

ATI has 50 locations in Indiana, including in Lafayette and West Lafayette as well as locations near Indianapolis, the Purdue Northwest and Purdue Fort Wayne campuses.

Employees can search for locations by state here.

PUSH

Purdue University Student Health Center (PUSH) offers low cost x-ray imaging on campus to benefits eligible Purdue Staff. The Radiology Department at PUSH performs general diagnostic x-rays on all benefits eligible Purdue staff, their spouses, and dependents over the age of 8. There are charges for all radiology services. The employee portion of that charge is $25.00 per exam (body part), due at the time of service. The remaining balance will be billed to insurance.

Franciscan Health

In its ongoing efforts to provide the best quality and cost of care to employees, Purdue has partnered with Franciscan Health for lower-cost, non-emergency imaging services. Franciscan offers 13 convenient imaging locations in Central, Western and Northwest Indiana, is accredited with the American College of Radiology (ACR) and actively participates in Image Wisely and Image Gently

When your provider issues an imaging order, you are able to request Franciscan Health for the location of services. Not only will the overall costs be lower, but Franciscan is part of the HealthSync network so you will take advantage of the lower deductible and out-of-pocket expense, all which are a part of the University’s smarter approach to healthcare.

Drugs in this category are typically high-cost medications that require special handling, administration or monitoring. These medications require prior authorization and must be ordered through the specialty pharmacy. Purdue partners with Archimedes to administer specialty medications. The specialty pharmacy that will actually be providing the medications to you is called AcariaHealth. Your medication will be sent to you by home delivery with 24/7 access to pharmacists and nurses. Oftentimes, there are copay assistance programs* that are available from drug manufacturers to help cover the cost of these medications, and Archimedes will help find these and other ways to ensure you get the medications you need at the lowest costs possible.

The next time you need a lab test, talk with your doctor about choosing a Tier 1 lab to help save money. Most doctors are willing to use the lab that best meets your needs. You can locate and compare costs for specific lab tests through the Anthem website or Sydney App.  When searching for labs, the tier is listed.

  • To use a Tier 1 lab, ask your doctor to fax a lab order to your preferred Tier 1 facility or take a written and signed order with you when you go to the lab.
  • The order will have the information the Tier 1 lab needs for processing your lab work and sending the results to your health care provider. Results are available only from your health care provider; please don't call the lab for results.
  • Generally, the cost for a lab test at a Tier 1 lab will be less than if you had the test done at a hospital or the doctor's office, even if the hospital or doctor participates in-network.

Visit the Tiered Lab Benefit web page for additional information.
