Tecumseh Postdoctoral Fellows 2017-18

In 2015, the Office of the Provost called for faculty initiatives to increase the diversity of our tenured and tenure-track faculty through the Diversity Transformation Award. A committee of faculty and graduate students submitted a proposal titled "Four Directions: Building a Foundation for Native Scholars." The Tecumseh Postdoctoral Fellowship is the key component of initiative. The postdoctoral opportunity provides a pathway for Indigenous scholars to be supported and mentored by Purdue faculty culminating in a potential tenure-track appointment. The Tecumseh Postdoctoral Fellowship is a one-year academic appointment and is available to any department or college across the university.

The fellowship is also supported by funds from:

  • College of Liberal Arts
  • College of Agriculture
  • College of Education
  • College of Engineering
  • College of Health and Human Sciences
  • Krannert School of Management
  • College of Pharmacy
  • College of Science
  • College of Veterinary Medicine
