First- & Second-Year Students
Are you ready to find your path? NISO helps current freshmen and sophomores plan their education and the activities that will lead to scholarships. We do this by hosting special workshops and individual advisory sessions focused on developing one's scholarly potential. We also coordinate campus support and application processes for the following scholarships open to first- and second-year students.
If you are in your second year and plan to graduate in three years, please follow the advising for third-year students as your graduation date will affect eligibility.

* While the Fulbright U.S. Student Program proper is a post-bac program, Fulbright offers undergraduate Summer Institutes hosted by the UK.
Additionally, we coordinate Purdue’s Peace Corp Prep certificate program, which should be of interest to those considering work in community, humanitarian aid, international development, global industry, government, or many other areas that require international engagement. First or second year is the best time to start working toward the certificate.
