Northwestern Avenue Parking Garage closures; new traffic flows begin Monday
Updated May 18, 2018 to reflect alternate parking locations and traffic flow logistics.
The Northwestern Avenue Parking Garage will fully close at 6 p.m. on Friday, May 18, for maintenance work. The north half of the garage will reopen by the morning of Monday, May 21, but the south half will remain closed for the duration of the summer.
When the north half reopens, new traffic configurations will be included throughout the garage to accommodate traffic flow, and some spaces will be restriped in a new direction to match traffic patterns. These modifications will be in place for the duration of the project. Motorists must use the Northwestern Avenue entrance adjacent to Wang Hall to access parking. Drivers may exit the garage onto Northwestern Avenue or Grant Street as depicted in the graphic.
Alternate parking is available in the Grant Street Parking Garage, "A" lot north of Cary Quadrangle or "F" lot east of the Mollenkopf Athletic Center. Bus service to these locations may be found on the CityBus website.
Motorists should obey all posted signs and barricades and exercise extreme caution in the area as drivers adjust to new traffic flows.
