Committees

We are always looking for new committee members. If you are interested in joining one of our committees, please contact us via email at lafasa@purdue.edu. Be sure to write "Committee Information" in the subject line and identify the committee(s) of your interest in your email.

Communications

  • Formal communication on social media, listserv management, and Purdue (Outlook) and Gmail.
  • Invite newly identified potential members once a semester.

Finance Committee

  • Managing membership dues and securing financial support from campus departments.
  • Managing the budget.
  • Preparation of materials in the event of an audit . 

Academic Engagement

  • Opportunities that contribute to the scholarship of the Hispanic/Latino community.
  • Support and create opportunities to showcase achievements and success in academia.
  • Vacant

Social Engagement

  • Identify or develop opportunities for the membership to participate in social activities.
  • Activities should be family friendly or open to the membership and their families.

Professional Development

  • Provide professional development opportunities for the membership at least once a semester.
  • Develop mentorship opportunities of Hispanic/Latino Purdue community.
