Our business hours are Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM and we are located on the third floor of the Krach Leadership Center. We offer in-person walk-in hours Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9AM-12PM and 1PM-4PM. Dr. Martia Brawner King is a senior Student Affairs Professional whose work focuses on student engagement and student development. She believes that learning takes place outside the classroom and compliments what is learned inside the classroom. Martia has strived to ensure that each student has the best college experience possible and that every organization is able to live their mission. She stands firmly on John Dewey’s philosophy of Education through experiences will lead to learning and growth.
Advising over 950 student organizations at Purdue is no small feat. Dr. King is often excited by the opportunities to think creatively, solve challenging requests, and provide risk analysis that will aid in student engagement. She primarily advisors the Purdue Student Government and the Student Fee Advisory Board.
Dr. King is a scholar, a student advocate, an educator, a wife, and a mom of three. She finds joy in connecting with family, friends, students, alumni, and the community.

Reviews activity planning forms and assists student organizations with event planning through virtual and in-person support.
