Undergraduate students have until Oct. 17 to submit their abstracts to present a research talk or poster on their research or creative endeavors during the 2024 Fall Purdue Undergraduate Research Expo.
Undergraduate students have until Oct. 17 to submit their abstracts to present a research talk or poster on their research or creative endeavors during the 2024 Purdue Undergraduate Research Expo.
The fall Undergraduate Research Expo is a hybrid event showcasing undergraduate research, with students delivering presentations from Nov. 19-26. Undergraduate researchers and scholars from all disciplines are encouraged to participate in this formally judged event. Prizes will be awarded from each of the sponsoring academic units.
Conference details include:
- A poster symposium on Nov. 19 in the Purdue Memorial Union’s North and South Ballrooms with sessions from 9-10 a.m., 10:30-11:30 a.m., noon to 1 p.m. and 1:30-2:30 p.m.
- Research talks from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 20 in Stewart Center, Room 214.
- Virtual presentations from Nov. 19-26 available on the expo website.
Faculty, staff and graduate students interested in judging the posters and research talks during the in-person and/or virtual events can register on the conference’s judging information link. Training will be available for those who would like to participate. Individuals who want to volunteer to work the Expo’s day-of activities instead of judging can sign up on the volunteer webpage.
The process of disseminating research results, gaining valuable feedback from peers and professors, and networking with other participants is a vital step in the learning process of engaging in a research experience.
The Purdue Undergraduate Research Conference is organized by the Office of Undergraduate Research with representatives from units on the undergraduate research planning committee.
