Dear Boilermaker,
As you kick off your first semester at Purdue, it's important to set goals for your learning and academic success. While Purdue has a wide range of support and resources available to help you, it can be difficult to know where to start and what to prioritize. Here are some tips to get a strong start:
1. Enroll in Learning at Purdue today

2. Engage in your learning
The Helen Bass Williams Academic Success Center (ASC) has created a practical resource for Purdue students that includes strategies and tips for boosting your academic engagement. Check out the ASC's resources and take some time to consider which strategies will best help you achieve your personal and academic goals this semester.
3. Plan for your Civics Literacy requirement
Purdue's Civics Literacy activities were created to enhance the educational experience of students and graduate a more informed citizenry. Completing these activities is a graduation requirement for all undergraduate students, so it's best to start planning now. Learn more about the Civics Literacy requirement.
