Research Description:

Reduced order model building and validation of industrial processes lies at the center of my research interests. My work has centered around methods for building FEA informed machine learning models of the shot peening process and implementing these models in a digital twin framework that tracks process distributions. This has enabled ultra-fast, high-resolution, and physics-based predictions of process outcomes.

Why CIGP?

CIGP is an incredible group of people who share an interest in the advancement of computational tools for use in science and engineering research. It was hard for me to find a community whose interests were similar to mine in my home department. My experience in CIGP has been with a friendly organization of students and faculty who are eager to discuss computation's place in an evolving world.
