Recruitment Visit
In the spring semester, prospective students living in the United States who have been recommended for admission are invited to spend a couple of days at Purdue to learn about life and learning at Purdue and in the PULSe program.
Agenda
- Welcome Reception – informal discussions with and poster presentations from current PULSe students and faculty, a brief presentation from the current PULSe Graduate Student Organization, and dinner
- Introduction to PULSe – the PULSe Head and the Director of Interdisciplinary Graduate Programs at Purdue welcome prospects over breakfast and will give an overview of the PULSe Program
- Meet with PULSe Faculty Members – prospects are escorted to a number of one-on-one or small meetings with faculty members in whose work they are interested
- Dine with Current Students – at lunch and dinner, current students will be accessible for questions, conversations, and fun
Participants
Students who are recommended for admission throughout the spring semester are welcomed to campus for an introduction to faculty research, student life, the Purdue Life Science research facilities, and the West Lafayette/Lafayette Community. While not all applicants are reviewed and recommended for admission in time for the Spring Recruitment Visit, all admits living in the United States are invited to visit the PULSe Community for a robust learning experience on the West Lafayette Campus, giving them an opportunity to interface with PULSe students and faculty in an engaging atmosphere before accepting admission. These visits, generally, take place between February and April.
