Arequipa-Nexus Team Highlights: Toward Clean Water: Avoid Intrusion of Contaminants into Water Systems

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic hasn't slowed down the Towards Clean Water project. In fact, they are ahead of schedule! The PI and Co-PI at UNSA collaborated and built up their capacity for research and publications, which resulted in 5 journal papers published and 2 in preparation, 2 papers to be submitted for review, 6 conference papers and 2 posters.

The journal papers present current state-of-the-art technologies that predict water pipe failure and assess risks. These tools could help support decisions and plans of infrastructure managers and civil engineers.
