University Holidays
The University provides 10 paid holidays each fiscal year. The holidays recognized by the University are:
Independence Day — July 4
Labor Day — First Monday in September
Thanksgiving Day — Fourth Thursday in November
Friday following Thanksgiving
Christmas — December 25
Extra Day at Christmas time
New Year´s Day— January 1
Martin Luther King Jr. Day — Third Monday in January
Memorial Day — Last Monday in May
President´s designated holiday
The established pattern is for the University to observe Sunday holidays on Monday.

Nonexempt, benefits-eligible employees in paid status are normally eligible for holiday pay consistent with their work schedule. Temporary employees, including student employees, are paid their regular hourly rate for hours worked on a holiday. View table outlining further eligibility considerations.
