The results are in … post-open enrollment survey responses pave path for 2022 plans

2021 marked the sixth year a survey was sent following open enrollment to gather employee feedback and input on benefits and wellness at Purdue. Around 1,400 employees completed the survey.

The average age of employees surveyed was 48.83. The majority of surveys were completed by employees from the West Lafayette campus (80.9%), followed by Purdue Northwest (7.3%), Purdue Fort Wayne (5.6%), Purdue Extension (4.0%) and Other (2.1%).

Each year, the benefits department, stakeholder groups and LHD Benefits Advisors analyze employee perspective via the survey results and then use that data and information as part of the building blocks for future benefits packages and wellness offerings, all which support the five pillars of the Healthy Boiler Programbehavioral health, financial wellness, physical health, social wellness and work-life integration.

Accomplishments in 2021 (based on results from the 2020 survey) were featured in the “2021: A year in review – plus a look at 2022” article in the December issue of the Healthy Boiler Newsletter.

That story provides us the foundation from which we build future programming and offerings around the five pillars of the Healthy Boiler Program – behavioral health, financial wellness, physical health, social wellness and work-life integration.”
