Advertising
Hiring supervisors should work with their HR-Talent Acquisition team member to create a recruitment plan for staff positions. They will assist with advertising strategies. The Staff Recruitment and Selection Procedure Manual for Supervisors provides further guidance. Those hiring faculty members should review the advertising information in chapter five of the Faculty Search and Screen procedure manual. Knowing how or where you want to advertise will be beneficial before creating the requisition in SuccessFactors to kick-off the recruitment process.
Keys to a successful advertisement include:
- Approved and clearly stated "how to apply" directions
- Clearly listed minimum requirements
- Attractive description of the position
- A deadline for application or open until filled
- Targeted placement of your advertisement based on your audience

Using Social Media to Advertise Job Openings
In today’s technology-driven world, social media plays a huge role in the way potential candidates connect with employers. Make sure to take advantage of all the opportunities available when spreading the word about an opening. Below we’ve provided sample ads to give you some ideas of how to use social media to reach candidates.
General Ad Examples:
