Course-Specific Guidelines for Pre-Registration

CSR 10000

Students within CSR will filter into the correct recitation by major; restrictions will ensure correct placement during batch.
Students outside of CSR will receive a major restriction error and will request an override request that will come to the CSR Department Designee. Molter/Stergar will determine students’ interest based on Boiler Connect notes or Form #23.
CSR DD will enter CRN specific override in SFASRPO.
Nightly validation will resolve any pending override requests in the workflow for these students. At the top right of the screen, check term (example: Fall 2019) and role (student advisor).

EDPS 10500

ENGL 11000

Suzanne will provide information to advisors to alert them regarding which course their students should request.
Students will be advised to add the course to their course request form.
PLaCE office will monitor student registration.

GS 19700

HONR 19901

Students can enter multiple CRNs as preference in a single line (based on theme content).
- If CRN does not fit schedule, the original course HONR 19901 will be assigned.
HONR 19901 probably cannot be #1 Priority.
- Academic colleges will determine priority order.
Every STAR Honors student must sign up for HONR 19901
- Advisor can validate through Dashboard.

Summer Start

Cohort restrictions placed at CRN.
For summer courses, students should select SS course suffix.
Students will pre-register for both summer and fall semesters on June 11.
Registrar office will batch register summer students on June 15.
Fall registration will be held in the queue until July 20 with all other STAR students.
