About the Office of Research

The Office of Research catalyzes Purdue-led research by bringing together researchers and resources across traditional academic boundaries and providing guidance and support for their work to drive discovery and societal impact.

All grant support and regulatory functions are managed through the Office of Research as well as oversight of large multi-disciplinary programs and infrastructure that includes the research program and infrastructure for the Purdue in Indianapolis campus, expansion of a One Health Innovation district in Indianapolis and a new interdisciplinary life science research building in West Lafayette.

The Office of Research also manages more than a dozen large-scale interdisciplinary research institutes and centers and user-facilities are located in Purdue’s Discovery Park District. These critical research entities advance large-scale research that is vital for interdisciplinary breakthroughs and innovations to solve the world’s most critical problems. The Institutes and Centers at Discovery Park District serve as a vital resource to the university’s campus-wide research enterprise as well as many outside private and public partners who wish to leverage the university’s world-class talent, state-of-the-art instruments and novel research techniques.
