The Goal of the STEM Career Repository is to help students become aware of the many career opportunities in the STEM fields. 

The Quest is to inspire all students by allowing them to see someone they identify with, being successful in a STEM field.

Keyword Search of the STEM Career Repository

This page lets you search through all of the 2-3 minute videos by keyword. If you are studying a topic, search for that word in the keyword search to learn about some of the careers related to that topic.

The world of STEM is vast and exciting, but many students are unaware of the opportunities it offers. Educators strive to integrate practical college and career readiness skills into their teaching. To bridge this gap, Purdue University College of Science K-12 Outreach is in the process of building an extensive STEM Career Repository.

Your Expertise Counts

We're inviting you to contribute your expertise by creating a short 2-3 minute video. This video will introduce students and teachers to the captivating work you do as a STEM professional. Your insights can illuminate potential career paths, fostering curiosity and enthusiasm among young minds.

 


FAQ’s

Q: How do I record a video to be included?

A:  You can log into our STEM Career portal and record right from your computer or upload a video you already recorded. Note the password and username to get into the portal are both k12boilers. 

 

Q: Will you be editing it or do I need a finished product?

A: We have student editors that will edit the video clips submitted. 

 

Q: What format will you need it in?

A: Preferred horizontally filmed as a mp4. But we can deal with whatever you can get us. 

 

Q: Can we send you a link to a video on our YouTube page?

A: No. Due to politics, restrictions, and past issues, we can only link to videos on the Superheroes of Science YouTube channel

 

Q: What is the timeline for submitting my video?

A: Anytime. We have the repository started and will be adding to it regularly.
