Purdue WISP Science Day
Foster your passion for Science with the Purdue Women In Science Program (WISP) at a free one-day campus event!
Saturday, November 9th, 2024 from 8:30 am - 3:30 pm EDT
Please register here by Friday, October 25 at 5pm EST.
Purdue WISP Science Day is a complimentary, one-day program for all high school students interested in the field of science to learn more information about the College of Science at Purdue University. Ignite your passion for science!
Students will engage in two hands-on lab experiences within interest sessions based upon the departments within the College of Science: biology, chemistry, computer science, earth, atmospheric and planetary sciences (EAPS), math, physics, and statistics. Participants have the opportunity to connect with current undergraduate students and Ph.D. candidates within the College of Science throughout the day. Lunch may be purchased by attendees within the Purdue Memorial Union Marketplace or brought in. Afterward, all will attend a panel of current WISP members who will answer questions and provide insight into their experiences at Purdue University. At the end of the event, all will have the opportunity to receive an optional tour of campus.
Families are welcome to attend sessions regarding campus safety, admissions, and affordability while their student is participating in the lab experiments. All guests will reconnect at lunch for the balance of the event.
