Keara Wilson serves as the director of Purdue’s Basic Needs Program and is responsible for the strategic vision of the program, as well as the development and implementation of all support and resource services for Purdue students. In 2017, Keara relocated to Indiana for an opportunity to work at the Military Family Research Institute at Purdue University and now calls Indiana home. She holds a master’s degree from Central Connecticut State University in Student Development in Higher Education. Outside of work, you can find her with family: her husband Eli, her son Ozzy, and her standard poodle Elvis.
Dennis Bowling
Deputy Director, Student Success Programs

Dennis Bowling, deputy director for Student Success Programs, works closely with the departments of Purdue Promise, Horizons, Basic Needs Program, and the Veteran and Military Success Center. His main role within those departments is to assess, evaluate, and support the staff and consider initiatives that can improve retention and graduation rates of low-income, non-traditional, military-connected and first-generation students. Previously, Dennis was the Assistant Dean for Student Services in the College of Liberal Arts. In this role, he supervised and supported the areas of Academic Advising, Study Abroad, Diversity Initiatives, Recruitment, Career Development and International Student Services. Dennis graduated with a master’s degree from the University of Tennessee. He has been affiliated with Purdue since 2000.
