Schmidt Science Fellows Award
The Schmidt Science Fellows program presents an annual $100,000 fellowship award to global leaders and innovators in the natural sciences, engineering, mathematics and computing. The purpose of the award is to give the world’s best aspiring scientists a broader perspective, the ability to engage in an interdisciplinary way and the opportunity to make a lasting impression on society.
Each fellowship award represents a part of the program’s $100 million effort to drive global scientific leadership and interdisciplinary research across society over the next decade and beyond.
Along with the award stipend, this fellowship includes the conducting of a full-time, 11-month or longer postdoctoral research study in a discipline that is different from each recipient’s existing area of expertise and planned future focus. With the assistance of the program, the selected scholars will choose a laboratory at an elite institution for their interdisciplinary research.
For more information about this award, including eligibility, nomination and submission details, please visit the Fellows Selection portion of the Schmidt Science Fellows website. The Graduate School will seek nominations for this program during the Fall semester.
