Purdue Sigma Xi Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Fellow Research Awards Competition
The Purdue Sigma Xi Graduate Student and Postdoctoral Fellow Research Awards Competition is conducted annually by the University’s chapter of the scientific research society. Information about the competition is usually distributed in late January. Awards for the scientific poster competition include a $200 prize for first place and recognition for other outstanding submissions.
Those interested in the competition do not need to be Sigma Xi members to participate, and the posters do not need to represent new findings. Recent posters presented at scientific conferences or meetings are eligible.
The poster competition features six categories, including:
- Physical sciences (graduate student)
- Life and agricultural sciences (graduate student)
- Engineering (graduate student)
- Behavioral and social sciences (graduate student)
- Behavioral sciences (postdoctoral fellow)
- Physical, life and engineering sciences (postdoctoral fellow)
