Here's how to connect to our office, news, opportunities, and each other!

Monthly "Coffee Chat" with the Office Director

Our director, Rachelle Swan , hosts monthly coffee chats (last Fridays of the month at noon) with up to 5 postdocs at the Starbucks located in the Memorial Union. Click here  and go to + Postdocs on the left menu to sign up for an opportunity to chat with Dr. Swan and be treated to your favorite Starbucks beverage!

Monthly "Postdoc Power Session" for Networking and Professional Development

The Office for Postdoctoral Scholars hosts a 2-hour "Postdoc Power Session" on First Fridays in September-November, and February-May. Sessions include opportunities for postdocs to present their research and receive peer feedback via online surveys; professional development training; and social/networking time with coffee and cookies. Sessions most likely take place in the WALC basement without a virtual option.

Please sign up here  (under + Postdocs, left menu) so we can best accommodate the number of attendees. If you can make it last minute, you are free to attend knowing we might not have enough space or food!

If you are interested in being one of our postdocs to present research for peer feedback, please email the office at ops@purdue.edu

Postdoc Email List

The Office for Postdoctoral Scholars uses an email list to announce networking and social events; funding, leadership, award, and service opportunities; and Purdue news related to postdocs. The Purdue Postdoctoral Association (PPDA) uses this list to announce sponsored workshops and events.

Sign up with your Purdue email address here!

You can also use this list to advertise opportunities to other postdocs! For example, if you need to sublease your apartment or sell furniture ASAP, we can help spread the word. Just send the intended email message to postdoc@LISTS.PURDUE.EDU and give us 24 hours to forward it to the list or ask more questions before sending.

Postdoc Professional Development Newsletter

The Office for Postdoctoral Scholars sends out a bi-monthly newsletter featuring professional and career development opportunities, as well as tips gleaned from popular postdoc resources such as the National Postdoctoral Association's newsletter.
