Peer-Led Tutoring
Peer-Led tutoring is a free service available to Purdue students studying in Indianapolis. These 60 minute sessions are designed to help students apply material, reinforce challenging topics, and review key concepts. Academic Succes Tutors are trained student leaders who have taken and succeeded in their courses. They want to see you be successful too!
Tutoring sessions take place the Student Center or ET Building and are scheduled through BoilerConnect (online or through your Navigate360 app). Sessions can have 1 to 3 students. The first person to schedule with a tutor will determine the course for the entire session. See below for more information regarding available courses, what to expect, and how you can prepare for your upcoming session.
Sessions are available from week 2 of the semeter to the last day of quiet period.

Scheduling a Session
- Log into BoilerConnect (online or through your Navigate360 app)
- Select “Make an Appointment”
- Select the following filters
- Care Unit: Purdue in Indianapolis
- Service: ASC Peer Tutoring
- Course: enter the course you would like to schedule for
- Meeting Type: In-person
- Comments: Share the topics or chapters you would like covered
About the Tutoring Session
Preparing for your session:
- Add the day, time and location to your calendar
- Your tutor will communicate the location of your session - ET or Student Center
- Determine specific questions or concepts you would like discussed
- Bring your relevant course materials - notes, textbooks, practice problems, homework
- Attend class regularly – tutoring is not a replacement
Session Policies
- Arrive ready and prepared to begin at the scheduled time
- Sessions must be scheduled at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled time
- Cancellations must be made within 24 hours of the session
- Session no shows will be recorded. If 3 no shows occur during the semester – you will no longer be able to schedule sessions
- You are only permitted to schedule 2 back-to-back sessions.
