Untold Stories
In March 2025, we celebrated Women’s History Month together as the Purdue community by taking a moment to remember and honor some incredible Purdue women in our lives. Women who have inspired us, supported us, and uplifted us—whether through their leadership, their kindness, or their unwavering belief in our potential.
In table groups, we told stories about impactful Purdue women by answering the following prompt:
Think of a Purdue woman (either current or past) who has made a significant impact on you. What is one specific thing that person has said or done that made a difference in your professional and personal journey?
We then filled in a word to complete the following sentence with how this Purdue woman impacted us:
"Because of this Purdue woman, I am/have _______."
Themes of confidence, empowerment, connection, resilience, bravery, and more arose. We made all the words into a wordcloud butterfly pictured below!
