Spring 2025: Read the Untold Stories of Purdue Women
Storytelling is a powerful way to inspire, celebrate, and connect with community. In our Untold Stories initiative, launched in Spring 2025, we collected stories answering the question,“What is one specific thing that this Purdue woman did or said to make a difference in your personal or professional journey?” Our booklet is a collaborative story about Purdue women who have deeply impacted the lives of current Purdue faculty, staff, and students.
At our March 2025 Women's History Month Celebration, we took a moment to remember and honor some incredible Purdue women in our lives by telling these stories.
We then filled in a word to complete the following sentence with how this Purdue woman impacted us:
"Because of this Purdue woman, I am/have _______."
Themes of confidence, empowerment, connection, resilience, bravery, and more arose. We made all the words into a wordcloud butterfly pictured below!
Do you have an untold story to share about an impactful Purdue woman in your life? Share your story with us here.
If your story is chosen, we'll share on social media and add to our ongoing flipbook of untold stories featured on our website.

Spring 2024: Celebrate Purdue Women with us!
Celebration is a powerful way of thanking, honoring, and bringing visibility to our interconnectedness -- with the faces and stories of impactful individuals who are making a difference building a vibrant, healthy, and impactful community for women’s success on Purdue’s campus and beyond. In our Celebrate Purdue Women initiative, launched in Spring 2024, we interviewed 23 Purdue women, both current and past, some via written and some via video interview, and asked them themes spanning success, leadership, mentorship, and more.
