Professional Development Workshop Option 3: Conflict Resolution and Negotiation 
Speakers: Franki Kung, Assistant Professor of Psychological Sciences and Alice Stuhlmacher, Professor of Psychology, DePaul University
 
Women and people of color often face barriers in negotiation and are less likely to negotiate due to concerns of backlashes. In this session, the invited speakers will engage in a casual Q&A discussion highlighting science-based knwoeldge and tips to help assistant professors overcome some of these barriers, negotiate at work more effectively, and identify when and how to say no. In this workshop, participants will learn how to deal with difficult conversations and situations at work; how to advocate for yourself while maintaining high-quality relationship.
