The Purdue Native American Cultural Center and the Purdue Center for the Environment (C4E) will be hosting a virtual Earth Day Event introducing the history of Prophestown, Indiana on Wednesday, April 22 from 1-2 PM.

Featured speakers from Purdue University and the region will talk about the role American Indian and Native American Peoples play in stewarding and governing natural resources. Please plan to attend this event to learn about Tecumseh and his brother, The Prophet, and their integral role in shaping the region’s history and American Indian and Native American resistance and governance, watersheds and wetlands, the geology of the region, and the importance of recognizing the historical importance of indigenous knowledge systems.
