Experts in intersectionality, racial justice, decolonization, the arts, law and environmental policy will discuss environmental justice, climate change and racial justice in a free, two-day symposium co-organized by the Center for the Environment, along with other campus organizations and Indiana universities.
The symposium will be composed of four panels centered on the following themes: Dimensions of Environmental Justice and the Midwest; Pollutants, Toxins, Health and Justice; Gender, Inclusion, and Justice; and Conflict, Disaster, and Climate Change. The conference will also feature Deputy Assistant Administrator for Land and Emergency Management Dr. Carlton Waterhouse.
The virtual event, Next Steps - Environmental Justice, Climate Change & Racial Justice Symposium, will take place on March 25-26. Registration for the Symposium is required and is available here.
Poster submissions and abstracts are due on Friday, March 12, 2021. Guideline for poster submission is available here.
