The Nexus Institute’s Sustainable Water Management (SWM) project recently launched two prototypes for new online tools, called Arequipa Climate View and HidroAQP. Arequipa Climate View allows users to explore historic climate data for the region, and download time series of precipitation and temperature for any point in the region. HidroAQP will allow users to view and compare simulated streamflow for any tributary in the Quilca-Vitor-Chili and Camana river basins. Currently streamflow is available for the sub-basin draining to El Frayle reservoir in the Chili basin.
The tools have a fully functional Spanish version and can be accessed through the SWM project’s website, which can be found here: https://www.agry.purdue.edu/hydrology/projects/NEXUS-SWM/en/web_tools.html.
Nexus encourages you to use the tools and check out what the SWM team has accomplished!
