  • Two plan level options available
  • Benefits are paid directly to you and are in addition to Purdue's medical and disability benefits.
  • Family coverage options
  • Convenience of payroll deduction
  • One-time $250 newborn benefit added for maternity hospital admissions
  • Ability to submit labor and delivery claim ahead of hospital stay at 36 weeks pregnant and be paid
  • New, BenefitBump parenthood support resource
  • New, dependent parents coverage

Enhancement to voluntary benefits now includes dependent parent coverage

We're excited to announce a valuable new addition to your benefits package that recognizes the growing reality of caring for aging parents. All voluntary benefit plans now automatically include coverage for your dependent parents when enrolled in employee coverage, providing additional peace of mind for your entire family. This new benefit recognizes that many employees provide financial support for aging parents.

Dependent parent coverage is available under your accident, critical illness and/or hospital indemnity insurance, payable to the covered employee. This coverage is available for your parents and those of your spouse provided you cover more than half of their out-of-pocket costs, including housing, food, clothing and medical services, or a dependent parent is claimed as a dependent on IRS income tax forms.

This type of coverage can help pay for medical expenses, treatments and other healthcare services for aging parents who rely on you for support. It is designed to provide peace of mind and financial assistance in managing the healthcare needs of dependent parents.
