Human Resources-Benefits provides ongoing educational communication to employees

Because social wellness is important, the Healthy Boiler Program promotes opportunities that bring people together. This happens in a variety of ways—through wellness programs, at our on-campus workout facilities or in one of our cultural, leadership or faculty centers. In addition, the ongoing communication efforts by Human-Resources Benefits continue to educate the Purdue community on what benefits are available to them, how to best utilize them and more. Communication bridges the gaps between what is happening and how employees can be involved.

Regardless of the opportunity to support the social wellness of the community, the goal is the same: contributing to individual and collective well-being through social togetherness.

Communication related to Purdue benefits, well-being programs and more is shared via the following:

“Each year following benefits open enrollment, a survey is sent to benefits-eligible employees asking for their feedback on the open enrollment process, Purdue benefits and well-being programs and the communications that are shared throughout open enrollment,” said Candace Shaffer, senior director of benefits in Human Resources. “Feedback year after year has shown that the majority of those responding find our communication pieces useful, and we carry that forward throughout the rest of the year as well. Our priority is to ensure that employees know there are tools, programs, events, benefits and more available and how they can access them.”

New communication campaigns on Purdue’s retirement program and the Center for Healthy Living (CHL) are in progress and will be shared soon via the channels above.
