On-campus childcare part of family-friendly offerings supporting work-life integration
The University offers a variety of family-friendly benefits and programs to assist employees in integrating work and life. Purdue University has campus-based services that fulfill needs for the 21st century work-life demands of all faculty, staff and students. A significant part of the family-friendly initiatives at Purdue are the on-campus early care and education programs.
Three childcare options are conveniently offered on the West Lafayette campus. They are:
- Ben and Maxine Miller Child Development Laboratory School
- Patty Jischke Early Care and Education Center
- Purdue University Early Care and Education Center
- The opening of the Purdue University Early Care and Education Center doubled the number of infant spaces available on campus and also provides another option for families who have school-age children and need before and after school care, as well as a summer program.
Specific information for each center is available via the respective link above.
In addition, the new Patty Jischke Center is set to open in August 2022, and will double the spaces that are currently at the existing Patty Jischke Center.
On-campus quality early care and education is a critical component for recruitment and retention of today’s employees and non-traditional students.
