Purdue University Student Health (PUSH)

Purdue University Student Health Center (PUSH) has doctors, nurse practitioners, and nurses that see full time students for illness or injury, at no cost, every semester. Students can also be seen for regular allergy shots, sports physicals, x-rays, lab tests, or physical therapy for a fee that is typically much lower than those found at community practices.

PUSH offers care that focuses exclusively on the health and well-being of students. Practitioners are trained in many different areas and can take care of chronic conditions as well, like ADHA, asthma, and many more.  The Health Center is also here to keep students healthy, providing wellness exams and education about healthy habits with the intent of instilling an understanding that will lead to wellness well after graduation.

Although students can pay on the day they are seen, there are other payment options as well, including billing insurance.  PUSH never refuses treatment based on ability to pay. Any time students are concerned about the cost of treatment of testing, they can call or stop by Business Services on the main floor of PUSH. Their staff is always happy to help students learn how to use their health care dollars to the best of their advantage.

Experts have long known that university health services help students succeed. Health is viewed as not simply the absence of disease, but as something positive. Health creates capacity. Students who have positive health status have greater ability to learn and engage in meaningful educational experiences.

Student success depends on it, and with an understanding that the learner as a whole person matters in the learning, PUSH is here to help students optimize their learning, reach their potential, and achieve their goals.

PUSH services are available Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and through Extended Care from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Same day appointments aren’t always available so it is best to call (765-494-1700), or go online (https.www.purdue.edu/push) to schedule an appointment.

PUSH is located at 601 Stadium Mall Drive.
