A Message from President Daniels on Purdue Moves

Members of the Purdue community,
Today I shared with the University Senate a set of important new initiatives, Purdue Moves, which we believe will enhance the University’s extraordinary strengths and prepare it well for the future.
Realizing this is no ordinary time for higher education, we are determined to grasp the extraordinary opportunities available for innovation, achievement and growth.
Ten “Purdue Moves” will leverage our historic strengths as a university and invest ambitiously in the disciplines that hold the greatest potential to change the world. Through these bold initiatives our goals are clear, and can be described in four broad categories:
- Purdue will forge ahead in STEM leadership
- Purdue will deliver world-changing research
- Purdue will be a leader in transformative higher education
- Purdue will set the standard in higher education for affordability and accessibility
Ambitions like these require great investment and buy-in from our many stakeholders. I look forward to seeing us move forward, together, in pursuit of these goals. Your support, your confidence in what we can achieve, and your help in spreading the word about what we are doing at Purdue, will all be keys to our success.
