Directions

Riding the Bus

Many campus bus routes are available. The most convenient stops near PTS are directly in front of Stewart Center on Memorial Mall Drive and in front of the Purdue Memorial Union on State Street. For route maps and schedules, please visit the City Bus website.

Driving/Parking

If you are driving to PTS, please note that it may be difficult to find parking. Purdue is a large, busy campus, and most parking areas are reserved or permit-only. We recommend allowing yourself at least half an hour to obtain a parking pass (if needed), find a spot and travel from the parking area to PTS.

Free Parking

Permit-only lots and garages are open for free parking ONLY after 5:00 p.m. on weekday evenings and on weekends. However, these parking areas may be restricted for games or other on-campus events. Watch for police orders or other signage that supersedes normal parking regulations. Sporting event schedules are available on the Purdue Athletics website.

There is a limited number of street parking spaces close to Stewart Center along Waldron Street and some of its connecting streets. However, these spaces fill up quickly when classes are in session and may be easier to secure during university breaks, particularly in the summer months.

Two-hour street parking is available along Northwestern Avenue and Stadium Avenue and may suffice for short visits. However, they are not viable options for longer exams.

These free parking options are typically a 10- to 15-minute walk from Stewart Center.

Paid Parking

Before 5:00 p.m. on weekdays, paid parking is available in the Grant Street parking garage across from the Purdue Memorial Union. If approaching from the east, take State Street up the hill and turn right onto Grant Street. If approaching from the west, take Mitch Daniels Boulevard or Harrison Street and turn left onto Grant Street. The parking garage is connected to the Purdue Memorial Union and Stewart Center by tunnels.

Day Pass

A day pass for parking in permit-only lots and garages can be purchased from Parking Facilities for $5. This requires an extra stop at the opposite end of campus but may be more convenient and economical for clients taking longer tests. The Parking Facilities office is located at the Materials Management and Distribution Center (MMDC) at 700 Ahlers Drive. Please visit the Purdue University Parking website for more information.

Be Aware

Most test vendors do not allow candidates to leave the building during breaks, so you will not be able to move your car until you have finished. If parked illegally, your car may be ticketed or towed at your expense.
