All Pearson VUE Exams
All Pearson VUE candidates should prepare in advance by reviewing their registration confirmation. It is your responsibility to know what materials — such as identification — you will need to bring along with what items — such as electronic devices, study materials and outerwear — will not be allowed in the testing room. If you cannot be admitted due to an invalid ID, you may forfeit your opportunity to test.
Note that your report time is 30 minutes before your scheduled exam time. You will need to put away your personal belongings and complete the required admission process before beginning your test. If you do not allow sufficient time for this process, you will not be able to begin at the scheduled time. Late arrivals who cannot be accommodated will be turned away and forfeit their opportunity to test.
During admission, you will be asked to read and sign a confidentiality statement. It is your responsibility to thoroughly review this information for every test, even if you have taken the test before. By providing your signature, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to the exam sponsor's rules and policies.
What To Expect at Our Pearson VUE Test Center
Fundamentals of Engineering (FE)/Fundamentals of Surveying (FS)
All FE/FS candidates are required to present one valid, non-expired form of government-issued photo identification. This can be any government-issued ID issued by the country in which the candidate is testing, an international travel passport issued by the candidate's country of citizenship or a U.S. military ID.
An electronic signature, palm vein scan and photo will be collected during admission.
The exam is six hours long, with an optional twenty-five-minute break after completion of the first section. Candidates may access personal belongings and are permitted to leave the building during the scheduled break. However, any time over twenty-five minutes will be deducted from the time remaining on the exam. Candidates may skip the scheduled break if they choose, but it is not recommended. Candidates are allowed to take unscheduled breaks if necessary. During an unscheduled break, the exam time will keep running, and candidates may only go to the restroom and access food, drinks and medication. They may not access other personal belongings or leave the building.
Register OnlineGraduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)
All GMAT candidates are required to present one valid, non-expired form of government-issued photo identification. The ID must include your name exactly as it appears on their registration, a signature, a recent and recognizable photo, and your date of birth. For candidates testing outside their country of citizenship, the only accepted form of identification is a passport or permanent resident card if residency is in Australia, Canada, France, Morocco, New Zealand, Switzerland, United Kingdom or United States.
An electronic signature, palm vein scan and photo will be collected during admission.
The GMAT exam is three and a half hours, with two optional eight-minute scheduled breaks. Candidates are not permitted to leave the building during breaks and may not access cell phones, other electronics or study materials. Any time over eight minutes will be deducted from the time remaining on the exam. Candidates may skip scheduled breaks if they choose. Candidates are allowed to take unscheduled breaks if necessary. During an unscheduled break, the exam time will keep running, and candidates may go to the restroom and access food, drinks and medication. They may not access other personal items or leave the building.
Register OnlineMicrosoft Certification Exams
All Microsoft candidates are required to present two forms of identification. The primary ID must be a valid, non-expired form of government-issued identification which includes a recent, recognizable photo and signature. The secondary ID must also be valid and non-expired and must include either a name and signature or a name and recent, recognizable photo.
An electronic signature and photo will be collected during admission.
Microsoft exams vary between one and a half hours and three and a half hours long, with no scheduled breaks. Candidates are allowed to take unscheduled breaks if necessary. During an unscheduled break, the exam time will keep running, and candidates may only go to the restroom and drinking fountain. They may not access personal items or leave the building. (Access to necessary belongings — such as medication and food — is allowable with prior approval from the Pearson VUE accommodation team.)
