Student Life Impact Awards
The Student Life Impact Awards have been established by the Office of the Vice Provost for Student Life in order to honor, recognize, and engage exceptionally accomplished alumni and friends of Student Life at Purdue. Student Life is accepting nominations for four awards.

Student Life Service Award
The Student Life Service Award is for Purdue alumni who have demonstrated a commitment to their community through the development of or significant contributions to private or public programs that improve or enhance the quality of life for individuals, families and communities. Letters of nomination should address how the nominee has made significant contributions to their community, and their contributions or involvement with a Student Life area or other areas at the University.
Student Life Award for Outstanding Leadership
The Student Life Award for Outstanding Leadership is for Purdue alumni who have exceptional careers and shown long-term leadership within their chosen profession, or have shown noteworthy professional accomplishments that reflect favorably on their profession, the University and society. Letters of nomination should address significant career accomplishments, such as results and impact of programs launched through the nominee's efforts; how the nominee has displayed leadership within their chosen profession; the noteworthy contributions that makes them worthy of this award; and their contributions or involvement with a Student Life area or areas at Purdue University.
Bob L. and Joyce Beery Miles Student Life Mentor Award
The Bob L. and Joyce Beery Miles Student Life Mentor Award honors and promotes the considerable efforts and accomplishments of individuals who consistently serve as effective mentors for students in areas within the Division of Student Life at Purdue. Both Purdue alumni and non-alumni are eligible for the the Bob L. and Joyce Beery Miles Student Life Mentor Award.
Student Life Young Alumni Award
The Student Life Young Alumni Award is for Purdue alumni 35 or younger who have shown outstanding career development, either through traditional channels or innovative approaches. Letters of nomination should address how the nominee has shown support for their profession; involvement in professional organizations, college alumni association or community activities; and any continued involvement with Student Life since graduating.
Student Life Exceptional Staff Service Award
The Student Life Exceptional Staff Service Award is for currently employed staff members in Student Life for their exceptional student support throughout the year. Nominations can come from students, faculty, staff, or friends. A student committee will review the applications and select the winner of this award. Award nominations should address how the nominee has made significant contributions to the Student Life community with a focus on helping Boilermakers flourish.

Nomination Information
All nominees for each award (except the Mentor Award) must hold a Purdue degree and/or have been engaged in a Student Life organization or activity while at Purdue. A completed nomination must include:
- Complete Impact Awards Online Submission Form.
- See an example of our nomination rubric.
- Starting in 2024, a resume or CV is not required.
- A 1-2 page letter of nomination that addresses the award criteria.
- The nominee's relation to Purdue and any past or current connections to Student Life.
- A link to the person's LinkedIn or nominators can write a summary of the nominees career path.
Please note: Nominations that do not contain all three pieces will not be considered.
Deadlines and Submission
Nominations for the 2025 awards are due by January 31, 2025 at midnight, EST.
