Best Practices and Education

The Research Quality Assurance Unit (RQAU) develops material for Principal Investigators (PIs), project staff, and departmental and business administrators regarding compliance with federal and state regulations and Purdue policies related to research. The RQAU staff work with the Directors of Research Regulatory Compliance (RRC) and Sponsored Program Services (SPS) to ensure that their staff are aware of commonly occurring or high risk issues, so that they can be proactive in addressing them. The RQAU takes the lead in coordinating the Hot Topics in Research Administration program. The RQUA assists Principal Investigators working in new arenas subject to unfamiliar regulatory requirements with the development of regulatory protocols and execution of post-approval protocol compliance
