A Professor of Entomology since 1991, Dr. Mason studies insect pests of food. Working in graduate education since 2010, she served as the Dean of the Graduate School for 6 years. As Graduate Dean Emeritus, she is currently on a 2-year sabbatical examining ways to improve mentoring of graduate students, faculty and staff. Her interest in improving communication skills and mentoring relationships for graduate students is a driver for many of her professional development activities in the graduate school and nationally.
