Christina Ferreira had training in veterinary medicine at the State University of Sao Paulo and started doing research in molecular biology and animal biotechnology. In 2008 Christina started post-doctoral training at the University of Campinas - Brazil in mass spectrometry focused on the area of culture media metabolomics and lipidomics of embryonic early development. In 2010 she came to Purdue University to work with Graham Cooks on diverse projects with lipid analysis and in Parkinson�s disease biomarker search in cerebrospinal fluid. Due to her chemical-biological background Christina has developed and introduced diverse tailored analytical approaches. Christina will work together with Metabolite Profiling Facility faculty and users on high-throughput metabolomics analysis focused on lipid profiling.
