Thank you for helping us provide a safe working environment for our faculty, staff and students.  

SOPs

Each lab group must maintain a set of current Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) that include information about chemical, radiological and biological hazards present in the lab, how the hazards will be mitigated, and detail the appropriate steps to take when working with those hazards. Copies of the SOPs must be kept in a binder in the lab and available to all lab personnel. Templates for common hazards are provided by REM. They must be customized for each lab and approved by the principal investigator to be considered complete. Additional SOPs for hazards not found on this list may be created using the template format.
