Current Student Scholarships

Scholarships for current, continuing Exploratory Studies students:

Sue Aufderheide Scholarship

This scholarship recognizes an outstanding continuing Exploratory Studies student who has financial need.

  • Minimum Requirement: 2.8 cumulative Purdue GPA
  • Student must be in Exploratory Studies during the spring 2025 semester to be eligible
  • There is a required statement regarding financial need which must be submitted as part of the application process
  • Total award of $1000 (non-renewable) disbursed in equal installments during the fall 2025 and spring 2026 semesters
  • Online application will be available here by early 2025
  • Deadline for applications (including statement regarding financial need) will be available here in early 2025 (will likely be in February or March of 2025)
  • The recipient will be contacted via Purdue email by late March.

Purdue Federal Credit Union (PFCU) Citizenship Award in Honor of Ronda E. Feathers

This scholarship recognizes the outstanding school/community involvement and strong academic achievement of a continuing Exploratory Studies student with preference given to a member of the Purdue "All-American" Marching Band, or one of the other bands, or in one of the PMO groups.

  • Awarded to first-year, continuing Exploratory student(s)
  • Purdue cumulative (overall) GPA of 3.0 or greater
  • Total award of $1000 (non-renewable) disbursed in equal installments during the fall and spring semesters of the student's sophomore year
  • Online application will be available here by early 2025
  • Deadline for applications (including Essay and Letter of Recommendation) will be available here in early 2025 (will likely be in February or March of 2025)
  • The recipient will be contacted via Purdue email by late March.

Exploratory Studies First Year Student Scholarship

This scholarship recognizes the outstanding academic achievement of a first-year Exploratory Studies student.

  • Awarded to first-year, continuing Exploratory student(s)
  • Purdue cumulative (overall) GPA of 3.8 or greater
  • Total award of $1000 (non-renewable) disbursed in equal installments during the fall and spring semesters of the student's sophomore year
  • Students who qualify will be contacted with a scholarship application. Students will be contacted after spring grades have been released.

Scholarships for current or former Exploratory Studies students:

Ken & Jan Coleman Scholarship

This scholarship recognizes the academic achievement of a current or former Exploratory Studies student who has financial need, with preference given to a member of Phi Kappa Sigma Fraternity or the Evans Scholars.

  • To be eligible, student must have completed the FAFSA and demonstrated financial need
  • To be eligible, student must have spent at least one semester in Exploratory Studies
  • Total award of up to $1000 typically disbursed in equal installments during the fall and spring semesters
  • There is no application. Students who are selected to receive the scholarship will be contacted by Exploratory Studies.

Scholarships for former Exploratory Studies students:

Robert M. Mauzy Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship recognizes the academic achievement of a former Exploratory Studies student who has CODO'd into the Daniels School of Business.

  • To be eligible, student must have completed the FAFSA and demonstrated financial need
  • To be eligible, student must have spent at least one semester in Exploratory Studies and CODO'd into the Daniels School of Business
  • Total award of up to $1000
  • There is no application. Students who are selected to receive the scholarship will be contacted by Exploratory Studies.
