Pharmacist Services
The board-certified clinical pharmacists at the CHL are the medication experts on the CHL healthcare team and are available to assist patients with all their medication needs.
Their expertise provides a broad range of healthcare services, including education, medication therapy management (MTM), disease prevention, immunizations and more. The pharmacists also work directly with patients’ primary care physicians and/or specialists to ensure that each patient’s medication list is appropriate and the most cost-effective for them.
Pharmacy services are available at no cost to benefits-eligible employees and their family members who are covered on a Purdue medical plan. Benefits of scheduling an appointment include:
- Tailored appointment to your specific needs and addressing any questions you may have
- Improved safety by identifying possible drug interactions and helping with side effects
- Ensured effectiveness by guaranteeing you’re on the best medications for your needs and that fit easily into your life
- Reduced medication cost by finding less expensive medications or ones with lower copays if possible
- Opportunity to ask questions about vitamins, supplements and immunizations
