Purdue Global has partnered with Archimedes to manage the specialty medications for the Purdue Global health plans, beginning January 1, 2025.
Medications in this category are typically high-cost and require special handling, administration or monitoring. These medications require prior authorization and must be ordered through the specialty pharmacy. Purdue Global partners with Archimedes to administer specialty medications. The specialty pharmacy that actually will be providing the medications to you is called Acaria Health. Your medication will be sent to you by home delivery with 24/7 access to pharmacists and nurses. Oftentimes, there are copay assistance programs* that are available from drug manufacturers to help cover the cost of these medications, and Archimedes will help find these and other ways to ensure you get the medications you need at the lowest costs possible.
Included with Archimedes, employees will have one contact who is designated exclusively to Purdue University and Purdue Global members to assist with your specialty medications.
The Archimedes concierge will assist with:
- Obtaining prior authorization documentation from the prescribing provider.
- Obtain new prescriptions from providers when applicable.
- Enrollment into available copay assistance programs.
- Work directly with the pharmacy to fill prescriptions.
- Address any issues that may arise with medication delivery and copay assistance.
- Work with medical case management for infusion site of care.
Contact the Archimedes concierge via email at memberservices@archimedesrx.com or by calling 888-318-0445.
To contact the specialty pharmacy directly for delivery information, call Acaria Health, at 844-484-6926.
*Copay assistance program discounts do not apply to the deductible and out of pocket on any of the Purdue Global health plans. Only the amount paid out of pocket by the member will apply to deductible and out of pocket.
