A sponsor is a person who you choose to cross the stage with you, they will also put your stole on you. A sponsor can be a parent, friend, mentor, professor--anyone who is important to you. They also sit next to you during the celebration.

You can have more than one sponsor (but they may not all be sitting with you).

If you decide to bring a sponsor but haven’t told us—that’s okay, there will be seating for them, just not right next to you. Ask them to find you once you stand up to go to the stage, and to stand next to you.
